BUDDY LEAGUE (8U )Baseball League
(Ages as of May 1, 2027)

This league is designed for 7-8 year old athletes. Players are considered 6/7 years old in the Fall and 7/8 years old in the Spring.

Games are played at C.L. Willie George Park and Tyson Park.

League Information
This is a draft league.
The Fall season consists of 10 games.
No tournament will be held during the Fall season.
Practices will begin in August and games will begin in late August.
Regular practices and games are scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.
Teams will typically play 2 games per week.
Make-up games may be scheduled on other nights.
Practices may occasionally take place on weekends.
Buddy League is a coach pitch league.

Players will need to provide their own:

Glove
Batting helmet
Cleats
Baseball pants
Belt
League Rules
Springdale Recreation League Rules supersede all other rules.
The league is not officially sanctioned but follows some USSSA rules and guidelines.
No player requests are allowed for this program.
Rules and guidelines are subject to change.
Coaching Information

Coaching Information

Coaches are always appreciated and typically needed. Even if you indicate you are willing to coach, you may not be selected.

The sooner coaches are confirmed, the sooner practices can begin.

Each team may freeze a total of 3 players:

Head Coach’s child
Up to 2 Assistant Coaches’ children
