Yoga in the Park

Class is currently being held inside at the Rec Center until it is warm enough to move class back outside.

Springdale Parks and Recreation will be hosting a FREE yoga class to the public starting Saturday morning, May 4th. The class will be located outdoors at Randall Tyson Sport Recreation Complex at the Rotary Park area. The address for this specific location is Rotary Ln, Springdale, AR 72762, and it will be from 9am to 10am.

In the event of inclement weather, class will be moved indoors to the Springdale Recreation Center at 1906 Cambridge St, Springdale, AR 72762. Non-members will still be allowed to participate in the class if it is moved to indoors.

Once a month class will be at different locations such as the Springdale Animal Shelter, the Nature Center, Shaw Park and Arvest Ballpark! The Program Coordinator will send out an email with more details once the locations and calendar are set.

Yoga mats and blocks can be provided but it is recommended to bring your own.
Attendance is not mandatory but registration will be used to communicate if there are any location changes.

About the style of Yoga taught:
Yoga performed at a slow pace to release stress and tension from joints and muscles, will focus on improving flexibility and movement. Restorative poses will calm the nervous system and aid in the release of deeply held tensions from the body and mind.
